
What a brutal workout today. My Cycle University coach had me ride out to the "Arlington Staircase". Once there, I ascended the steep winding staircase through the forest to top out in a residential neighborhood. With a quick remount, I attacked/sprinted up a hill for approximately 1/4 mile. After that, while catching my breath, I descended back down S.R.9, around the block and repeated the effort 4 more times! Brutal work, but it felt great to be close to your cardiovascular limit and then go anaerobic for another 1/4 mile on top of that. Great workout and confidense booster to feel so good on the efforts and recovery.
After the intervals, I rode home feeling good. Good day of training.....cruel Coach!
