First ride on our new Specialized Epic!

Yesterday, Kristi and I went for our maiden voyage on our new Epic mountain bikes at St. Edwards Park near Kenmore.
After a few suspension adjustments, we hit the trails of fast rolling and twisting singletrack with a good share of muddy puddles. Kristi got an early flat that we quickly repaired and were off again. Within a few minutes, her other tire was going flat so she had to hoof it back to the car for a patch kit. That ended up being about a 15 minute walk. After that flat repair and a dragging break adjustment, we were back in the game flying through the trails towards Big Finn Hill. The bikes were handling great on the terrain and we each had big grins on our faces. We finished up the ride with a stop at Starbucks muddy faces and all. We still have a bit to learn about fine tuning our suspension systems and will be converting our wheel systems to tubeless next week (that would have helped) and then we should be good to go for some serious rides as spring approaches.
Thanks for reading.
