The Cycle University Varsity cyclo-cross program will once again be taking on the Northwest cyclo-cross circuit for 2012. All of these riders and support personnel have been recruited for both their professionalism, ability, sportsmanship, attitude, committment to the sport, and the ability to work in a team setting.

Raleigh Cross Race

On Thursday the 21st, teammates Kristi Berg, Sean Kelsey, and Chad Berg made the trip over the mountains to Roslyn for the big Raleigh promo Cross Race. Cross in July? Crazy, but fortunately unreasonably cooler temps and constant breeze kept any chance of excessive heat at bay.
The hype and payout ($1,500 to the winner) of the race brought in riders from Colorado, Utah, Idaho, and Montana. Kristi held her own in the women's field and earned a respectful 7th on the dusty, bumpy course.
Chad and Sean rode in the Pro/ Elite field with Sean finishing in 9th and Chad coming in shortly after in 11th. Not too bad considering the season is still a month and a half away from actually starting.
